Limestone Coast Local Health Network Governing Board

Dr Andrew Saies is an accomplished Orthopaedic Surgeon, with experience in private practice and public health sector.

Dr Andrew Saies has extensive clinical governance and commercial skills and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Andrew has extensive experience as a company chairman and board director in health, sport and education.

As a full-time practicing Orthopaedic Surgeon for over 35 years Andrew has had the unique opportunity and experience of starting, developing and managing a successful major private hospital and clinic at Sportsmed.SA. Andrew brings a first-hand perspective of the challenges and demands on our health system across metropolitan and country services.

In addition to his role as Governing Board Chair, Andrew is also a member of the LCLHN Clinical and Care Governance Committee.

Lisa has worked in the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors in senior roles across tourism, events, health, retail, education, music, film and TV.

Lisa has strong governance skills as a fellow and graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Lisa has a background in governance, accounting, risk and human resource management and holds a Bachelor of Economics (Accounting) and Graduate Diploma in Arts Management.

Previous directorships include SAFKI Medicare Local, Adelaide Fringe Festival, Centennial Park Cemetery, and the South Australian Post Graduate Medical Education Association. She is an experienced independent board director and chief executive officer. Lisa currently works as an award-winning filmmaker and is a non-executive director of the SA Motor Sport Board, the Fleurieu Film Festival and is Presiding Member of the City of Port Adelaide Enfield Audit and Risk Committee.

Lisa is Chair of the LCLHN Audit and Risk Committee, and a member of the LCLHN Finance and Performance Committee.

John Davidson has worked in clinical science and corporate health and has strong connections to the Limestone Coast as a resident and advocate.

Born in Naracoorte, John studied at the University of Adelaide before starting his career working in clinical science (cardiovascular investigation) at two of South Australia’s major hospitals, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and the Royal Adelaide Hospital, before moving abroad to work at the Brompton Hospital in London and at Klinikum rechts der Isar in Munich.

John returned to Australia, working in Sydney in commercial medical imaging, before once again moving abroad - this time to the USA - where he spent the next 18 years for large companies such as Hewlett Packard, Acuson Corporation, and Siemens Medical before retiring to the picturesque coastal town of Robe where he is active member of community. In recent years John has volunteered with the Kingston/Robe Health Advisory Council, working closely with members of the community to advocate for local health needs and issues.

John is a member of the LCLHN Engagement Strategy Oversight Committee.

Candice Fennell is a values driven executive professional and board member, with a distinguished career in operational leadership and senior human resources (HR).

As the HR Manager for one of the Limestone Coast’s most prominent forestry companies, One Forty One, Candice brings extensive capabilities in organisational culture, workforce strategy and employee relations. Candice holds a Diploma and is a Certified Practitioner in the field of Human Resources (HR) and is Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Candice is committed to community contribution, demonstrated through her volunteer involvement on the Mount Gambier Chamber of Commerce board for over seven years. During this time, she has supported career pathways and women-in-leadership initiatives to build resilient, future focused communities and empower the next generation of leaders.

Having delivered several major corporate and community events, and developing relevant strategies, programs and initiatives, Candice has demonstrated her solution focused approach to complex people and governance matters, blending strategic insight with genuine empathy.

Candice is a member of the LCLHN Engagement Strategy Oversight Committee.

John Irving is an experienced independent company Director and Chair, business advisor and mediator.

John has professional accounting and financial skills, commercial and legal knowledge and business experience. He guides people and their organisations by providing strategic direction, implementing effective governance policies and processes and introducing appropriate measures to mitigate risk.

John brings a valuable perspective and clarity of mind to solving complex business problems and enjoys the variety of working with different organisations and people in dynamic environments that foster and encourage innovation and the development of others. John brings commercial experience and corporate governance skills to the Governing Board. John was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia on 26 January 2024 for service to the Arts and Business.

John is Chair of the LCLHN Finance & Performance Committee, and a member of the LCLHN Audit and Risk Committee.

Georgie is an experienced company director with a strong track record spanning the philanthropic and agricultural sectors, including senior leadership roles across not-for-profit, wine and viticulture organisations.

A committed community leader, she is dedicated to strengthening the growth, renewal and long-term sustainability of rural and regional communities. Georgie is an active volunteer who has served on both local and national boards and has presented and facilitated at industry forums and events focused on advancing the not-for-profit sector.

Georgie brings demonstrated capability in strategic planning, financial management, community engagement, fundraising and marketing strategy. Her governance and leadership experience is supported by a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) and her qualification as a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Georgie is Chair of the LCLHN Engagement Strategy Oversight Committee, and a member of the LCLHN Finance and Performance Committee.

Glenn has over 35 years of experience in the human service sector, and is an experienced leader in health, disability, and community services.

As a long standing and highly respected CEO, Glenn brings an extensive network of relevant contacts and outstanding communication and negotiation skills.

Glenn can represent the unique needs of a diverse range of consumers (regional, metropolitan, frail aged, disability and families), and build strong and mutually beneficial relationships with partners, funders, and communities. He has an in depth understanding with the Aged Care reforms that are currently rolling out across Australia.

Glenn is currently working as the Chief Executive Officer of Doutta Galla Aged Services Ltd.

Glenn is Chair of the LCLHN Clinical and Care Governance Committee, and a member of the LCLHN Audit and Risk Committee.
