Limestone Coast Local Health Network

The Limestone Coast Local Health Network (LHN) manages the delivery of public hospital services and other community based health services as determined by the state government for the Limestone Coast region.

Acknowledgement of the Traditional Custodians
Limestone Coast Local Health Network acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout the region and Australia. We acknowledge their connections to land, sea, waters and community and acknowledge this land was never ceded and the ongoing impacts of colonisation. We recognise the history of First Nation Peoples' vast knowledge in traditional holistic healing ways. They were our first health care workers. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all First Nation peoples today.

Governance

The Limestone Coast LHN Governing Board is responsible for the overall governance and oversight of local service delivery by the LHN, including governance of performance and budget achievement, clinical governance, safety and quality, risk management and fulfillment of the Governing Board functions and responsibilities. The Governing Board is responsible and accountable to the Minister for Health and Wellbeing.

Disability Access and Inclusion Plan

The LCLHN Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (PDF 1.5MB) is part of the broader South Australian Government’s goal to improve the lives of people living with disability and their carers, and moves us closer to a fully inclusive society in the Limestone Coast. Our LCLHN Plan outlines our commitments to identify and meet the health needs of people with disability and their carers, and describes what LCLHN will do to ensure that people living with disability and their carers have the same opportunities as others to access and be included in health services.

Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan

The LCLHN’s Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) focuses on developing and strengthening relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, engaging our staff and stakeholders in reconciliation, developing and piloting innovative strategies to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Our RAP was developed by the LCLHN Reconciliation Working Group, with representation from across the LCLHN as well as two community representatives including the CEO of our local Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation, Pangula Mannamurna. It was approved by Reconciliation Australia in May 2021 and first published during National Reconciliation Week 2021.
