International Clinical Trials Day 2024 – 20 May 2024

International Clinical Trials Day is celebrated annually on May 20. It is a day to recognise all people who contribute to the clinical trials sector including clinical research professionals and clinical trial participants. It also provides an opportunity to raise awareness of the vital role clinical trials play in healthcare.

On 20 May 1747, James Lind started what is often considered the first randomised clinical trial aboard a ship to determine the cause of scurvy.
