Stop Elder Abuse - Campaign and community awareness
Older people may be vulnerable to abuse. Elder Abuse happens in trusted relationships where it is least expected to occur.
To help Stop Elder Abuse, it is important that the community learns what Elder Abuse is, can know the signs, understands the rights of older people and how these rights can be protected.
- Recognise Elder Abuse – learn about the types of abuse and to recognise the signs
- Speak up if you suspect elder abuse is occurring - call the Adult Safeguarding Unit on 1800 372 310

- Learn about elder abuse prevention - ways for you or someone you know to prevent elder abuse.
