When you visit an RACF

Visitors are important for ongoing health and wellbeing of residents.

Each RACF will have their own specific visitor policies to ensure residents can receive visitors safely. Visitors are advised to contact the facility directly for these details prior to visiting.

Face masks

Visitors are no longer required to wear a mask in a RACF. However, visitor and staff mask use should be reinstated when a facility has one confirmed COVID-19 case or when advised by SA Health. Please check with the RACF you are visiting for current mask wearing requirements.

Visiting during COVID-19 outbreaks

The RACF should ensure residents can receive visitors safely during an outbreak. RACF are encouraged to follow the Industry Code for Visiting Residential Aged Care Homes during COVID-19.
