COVID Cases in SA
There have been 2,762 new cases of COVID-19 reported in South Australia today. There are currently 15,561 active cases in South Australia.
Sadly, SA Health can confirm a woman in her 80s and a woman in her 90s, who tested positive for COVID-19, have passed away.
There are 212 people with COVID-19 in hospital, including 10 people in ICU. Of those hospitalised, 118 people have received three or more vaccine doses and 85 people are either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and nine have an unknown vaccination status.
Due to a reconfiguration of the data, the total number of cases has been readjusted.

The latest genome sampling from 1 to 13 June has found 80.7% of samples taken were BA.2.

Yesterday, 8,763 people received a PCR test in South Australia, which is an 7.2% increase on the previous 24 hours. Of the test results returned yesterday, 1,493 PCR tests were positive, while 1,269 positive Rapid Antigen Test results were reported.
Currently 95.9% of eligible South Australians aged 12+ have received their first dose of the vaccine and 93.9% have received their second dose. Boosters have been administered to 73% of eligible South Australians and 68.4% of South Australians aged 16+.
