A major role of the Hawker District Memorial Health Advisory Council (HAC) is to relay ideas and views from the Community to the local Health Service. These ideas are used in planning for new and improved services.

There are vacancies within the Hawker District Memorial Health Advisory Council.
Nominations must be in writing, signed by two residents of the community and the nominee. The nominee must also be a resident of the community represented by the Health Advisory Council.
Voting shall take place if more than the required number of nominees has been received.
Nomination forms are available from the Hawker Memorial Hospital and must be received by the Returning Officer prior to 5.00 pm Monday 13 November 2023.

The term “community member” refers to persons who live in the Flinders Ranges Council area or who live outside the council area but use or may use services provided by or associated with the area.
