Day Rehabilitation

Day rehabilitation services are provided at a hospital or health service for people who are living at home.  Day rehabilitation may involve a number of different therapists and health professionals working with you to achieve your recovery goals.

You may attend multiple sessions per week, depending on your rehabilitation goals. Some of your therapy program may be provided over telerehabilitation which involves you remaining at home whilst linking up over a video conference with your treating health professional.

There is no cost to access day rehabilitation services.

Often day rehabilitation is organised by your treating hospital so that you can continue your therapy once you return home.  Otherwise a referral from a health professional, such as a General Practitioner or medical specialist, is required.
