Public Wi-Fi

People who visit a number of SA Health sites will now have access to free Wi-Fi.

The Wi-Fi service is the first step in SA Health’s planned upgrade and increased rollout of its Wi-Fi networks across its hospitals and other facilities. Additional Wi-Fi services for consumers are set to be rolled out progressively as more sites have Wi-Fi enabled.

Public Wi-Fi is limited to light use style browsing only, it is not expected to be used for significant streaming of video services, such as YouTube and Netflix etc. If people attempt to use it for this they will likely have a poor experience.

Public Wi-Fi will utilise filtering to prevent access to illicit, inappropriate, or illegal content. Users will be required to agree to the terms and conditions of connection before access is provided.

Instructions for users

Connecting to the free Wi-Fi is a simple two step process – you do not need a username or password:

  1. Go to Settings then Wi-Fi on your device, and select the SA Health Public network
  2. Accept the Acceptable Use Policy.
