Kids Helpline

Kids Helpline is a free, private and confidential 24/7 phone and online counselling service for young people aged 5 to 25 as well as parents.


Headspace helps young Australians between 12 to 25 years of age with mental health, physical health, and managing work and study.

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is a free community-based mental health service provided through SA Health's Women's and Children's Health Network.

Your General Practitioner is the most appropriate first point of contact. They can assess the difficulty being experienced and make a referral to a range of support services.

Primary Mental Health Services are also commissioned throughout metro and country South Australia via Adelaide PHN and Country SA PHN.

Pandemic Leave Disaster Payment

The Pandemic Leave Disaster Payment is a lump sum payment to help you during the time you can’t work and earn income because you have to:

  • isolate due to testing positive to COVID-19
  • you’re caring for someone who has to isolate due to COVID-19
