About us

The Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN) covers almost 338,000 square kilometres, supporting more than 40,000 people living on the Eyre Peninsula and in the Far North, plus visitors and tourists.

Our facilities

Our main hosital is in Port Lincoln, where facilities include:

  • Emergency Department
  • theatres and recovery unit
  • maternity/birthing unit
  • renal dialysis chairs
  • medium-level complexity chemotherapy unit
  • pharmacy
  • inpatient wards
  • outpatient clinics
  • paediatrics clinic
  • palliative care unit
  • Allied Health service with consulting rooms and gyms
  • local base for community-based clinicians
  • Medical education and training unit, with simlab.

We own and operate 11 hospitals and all but one (Port Lincoln) are co-located with an aged care facility.

Our services

We own and operate:

  • 11 hospitals
  • 10 aged care facilities (co-located with hospitals)
  • Three medical (GP) practices with seven branches
  • Country Health Connect, a comprehensive community-based outreach service including Community Nursing, Allied Health, palliative care, home care and support, and National Disability Insurance Scheme services
  • Community-based Mental Health services  

We also manage Aboriginal Health contracts and relationships with all the Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs) in the Eyre and Far North.
