Registered Nurse - Midwife Transition to Professional Practice Program (TPPP)

Our Transition to Professional Practice Program supports newly qualified registered nurses and midwives to transition into the clinical workforce.

We have the highest rate of TPPP participants staying on with us after the program of any LHN in SA.

Registered Nurses - Enrolled Nurses

We have many adventures for Registered and Enrolled Nurses to expand their experience and careers across the Eyre and Far North.

From our busy Port Lincoln and Ceduna Hospitals to smaller hospitals at Tumby Bay, Cleve, Cowell, Cummins, Kimba, Wudinna and Streaky Bay, or working remotely at Coober Pedy, there are opportunities to work to your full scope of practice.

We also have a busy Community Nursing service, as part of our Country Health Connect service, providing care to communities across the Eyre and Far North.

Trainee Medical Officers - Resident Medical Officers

Port Lincoln Hospital is accredited by SAMET as a medical training and education site; we offer internships and Rural Generalist training and local General Practices offer GP training.

EFNLHN is a Single Employer and can manage your employment, while you complete your training.

Allied Health Professionals

Join a strong, supportive network of young health professionals.

We offer broad exposure to a range of clinical conditions and services with Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) in our team working across the life cycle and in acute, disability and aged services, providing a great platform to accelerate your career.

We have access to the Transition to Professional Practice Program (TPPP) for AHPs to ensure that AHPs new to rural and remote practice are well supported in their first year of practice with us.

We also provide access to professional development funding through the Country Allied Health Clinical Enhancement Program (CAHCEP), as well as scholarship opportunities for 'allied health rural generalist' training.

Start your adventure with us, travel across the Eyre Peninsula and Far North with our local health network – we’ll even fly you to Ceduna and Coober Pedy for your clinics.
