Yorke and Northern Local Health Network (YNLHN) has accepted all 13 recommendations made in the review.
The report was commissioned by the Minister for Health and Wellbeing on Wednesday 1 November 2023 in response to two instances where mortuary processes at Port Pirie Hospital were alleged to have not been followed correctly.
Investigations were led by Department for Health and Wellbeing Chief Executive Dr Robyn Lawrence, with the support of the Head of Unit Royal Adelaide Hospital Mortuary and SA Tissue Bank Stephen Nygaard and Women’s and Children’s Hospital Mortuary Manager Alison Tanner.
