Nursing and Midwifery Enterprise Agreement
On 1 December 2022 the South Australian Employment Tribunal approved the Nursing/Midwifery (South Australian Public Sector) Enterprise Agreement 2022 (PDF 10MB) following a successful ballot.
The Agreement came into effect from 1 October 2022 and will nominally expire on 31 July 2025.
Process for negotiations
Negotiations have concluded in relation to a new Nursing/Midwifery (South Australian Public Sector) Enterprise Agreement 2022.
Employees covered by the Nursing/Midwifery (South Australian Public Sector) Enterprise Agreement 2020 were given the opportunity to vote in regard to the 2022 Agreement from 9 November to 18 November 2022.
A majority of employees voted in favour of the proposed Agreement.
The results of the ballot are:
- Total number of people eligible to vote: 21,306
- Total number of votes received: 6,721
- Yes votes: 5,248 (78%)
- No votes: 1,473 (22%)
An application was made to the South Australian Employment Tribunal (SAET) for the agreement to be approved. SAET then gave notice for any party to set out in writing any objection or any other consideration and return to SAET before the approval date.
